the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the aforesaid line of railway and for the said road-diversion.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule here- to is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public school at Pakipaki:

And whereas an agreement for the taking of the estate in fee-simple of the said land has been entered into, and it has been made to appear that such agreement is sufficient for the purposes intended to be effected thereby:

And whereas the Education Board of Hawke's Bay has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, as required by "The Public Works Act, 1905":

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers of "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said public school as aforesaid, and shall, as from the date hereinafter specified, vest in the Education Board of Hawke's Bay; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," for the purposes of a rifle range:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a rifle range as aforesaid; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
