Land proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Block IX, Hamilton Survey District, Tuhikaramea Parish, Tuhikaramea Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Tuhikaramea Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Hamilton Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

Approximate Area of the Parcels of Road hereby closed. Adjoining or passing through Sections Nos. Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 16 2 23·6 326 to 328 and 328A, 329 to 334 and 371, Tuhikaramea Parish IX Hamilton R. 9707 Green.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Stopping Government Road in Block XII, Karioi Survey District, Waimarino County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, subsection (c), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road in Block XII, Karioi Survey District:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road in Murimotu Run No. 2, Block XII, Karioi Survey District, described in the Schedule hereto.

Native Land in Makotuku Survey District taken for a Gravel-pit.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of February, 1908.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Native land and is required to be taken for the purposes of a gravel-pit.

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in duplicate, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby proclaim and declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for the purposes of a gravel-pit as aforesaid; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
