employed to draw the same, comply and be in accordance with
the Schedule hereunder set forth :

Provided always that in no case during the above-men-
tioned months in any year shall any person engage, use, or
employ as owner or driver thereof of any two-wheeled vehicle
upon any of the roads hereinbefore mentioned in carrying a
greater load than one ton, or any four-wheeled vehicle in
carrying a greater load than thirty hundredweight.

(b.) The by-law made by the Council on the 18th day of
September, 1907, regulating the width of tires upon certain
vehicles engaged in traffic upon the roads under the control
of the Council during the months of June, July, August, and
September, shall be deemed hereafter not to apply to the
roads specified in By-law 3 hereof.

  1. Any person who after the coming into operation of this
    by-law shall commit a breach of this by-law, or who shall do
    or cause to be done, or be concerned in doing, anything con-
    trary to the provisions of this by-law, or who shall omit to
    do anything required to be done by him by any provision
    hereof, shall be deemed to have committed a breach of this
    by-law, and on conviction thereof shall be liable for each
    offence to a penalty not exceeding five pounds.

Altering Present By-laws.

Section 1 of By-law No. 2, intituled “Regulating Traffic,”
of the Traffic By-laws of the County of Raglan, 1906, is
hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof the Council doth hereby
ordain and decree:—

  1. No person shall, without the previous permission of the
    Council in writing in that behalf first had and obtained,
    engage in any heavy traffic on any of the roads in the county
    with any vehicle traction-engine or any other vehicle during
    the months of June, July, August, and September in any
    year.

Any person committing a breach of or failing to comply
with this by-law shall for every offence be liable to a penalty
not exceeding five pounds.

The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at
a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the
10th day of January, 1908, and confirmed at a special meet-
ing of the said Council held on the 4th day of March, 1908.

The common seal of the Raglan County Council was
