Additional Land in Longwood Survey District taken for the Purposes of the Orepuki-Waiau Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Orepuki-Waiau Railway to take further land in the Longwood Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Land taken for a Further Portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway. Blind River Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, Blind River Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the aforesaid line of railway.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Grey.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land acquired for the purposes of the Springfield to Brunnerton Railway (Greymouth-Otira Section), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Grey, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Grey County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land in the Westland Land District, containing 18 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being portion of railway reserve in Block XV, Arnold Survey District; as the said piece of land is more particularly shown coloured sienna on plan marked 15895, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington.
