Greymouth Fire District constituted.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of February, 1908.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section five of the Fire Brigades Act, 1907 (hereinafter termed β€œthe said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council, on the application of any Borough Council, declare the district within the jurisdiction of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act: And whereas an application has been made by the Greymouth Borough Council in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the Borough of Greymouth to be a fire district under the said Act.

Fire District of Alexandra to cease to be a Fire District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of February, 1908.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Fire Brigades Act, 1907, the Alexandra Fire District was constituted a fire district under that Act:

And whereas the Alexandra Borough Council, being the contributory local authority of the said district, has made application under the said Act that the said district shall cease to be a fire district:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the Alexandra Fire District, constituted as aforesaid, shall cease to be a fire district on and from the twenty-ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Fire District of City of Wellington to cease to be a Fire District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of February, 1908.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Fire Brigades Act, 1907, the City of Wellington was constituted a fire district under that Act:

And whereas the Wellington City Council, being the contributory local authority of the said district, has made application under the said Act that the said district shall cease to be a fire district:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the Fire District of the City of Wellington, constituted as aforesaid, shall cease to be a fire district on and from the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
