A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," and "The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906," for scenery-preservation purposes:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," and "The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenery-preservation purposes as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Districts constituted under "The Marriage Act, 1904."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by "The Marriage Act, 1904,"
I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage
district known as the Te Aroha District, and do proclaim
and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within
the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage
districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as
follow:—

MORRINSVILLE DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded to-
wards the north by the northern boundary of Piako County
from the confiscation boundary-line to the western boundary
of Block XII, Waitoa Survey District; thence towards the
east by the said Block XII and Block XVI, Waitoa Survey
District, and Block IV, Maungakawa Survey District, to
the northern boundary of Pourewa Block; thence again to-
wards the north by the northern boundary of Pourewa
Block to the Waitoa River; thence towards the north-east
by a right line to the south-western corner of Section No. 14,
Block X, Wairere Survey District; thence by the southern
boundaries of Sections Nos. 14 and 12, said Block X, to the
Waihou River; thence towards the east generally by the
Waihou River to the Mangawhero Stream; thence towards
the south-east by the Mangawhero and Mangawhara Streams,
and the Mangawhara, Okoroire, and Waipa Blocks, to the
Waikato River; thence towards the south-west generally by
the Waikato River and the Hinuwera No. 2 Block to the
confiscation boundary-line at the southernmost corner of the
Maunganui Block; and thence by the confiscation boundary-
line to the place of commencement.

TE AROHA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded to-
wards the north-west by a right line from the confluence of
the Piako and Waitoa Rivers, running in the direction of the
confluence of the Ohinemuri and Waihou Rivers, to the
Waihou River; thence towards the east generally by the
Waihou River to the southern boundary of the Patuwhao
Block; thence again towards the north-west by the said
Patuwhao Block and its southern boundary produced to the
Waitawheta River; thence towards the east generally by
that river to its intersection by a right line drawn between
Te Aroha Mountain and the mouth of the Waihi River;
thence by that line to the Tauranga confiscation boundary-
line; thence by the said confiscation boundary-line to the
Wairere Stream; thence towards the south-east generally by
the Wairere Stream to the Waihou River; thence towards
the south-west generally by the Waihou River to the south-
eastern corner of Section No. 12, Block X, Wairere Survey
District; thence by the southern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 12 and 14 to the south-western corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence by a right line to the north-
eastern corner of Pourewa Block; thence by the northern
boundary of the said Pourewa Block to the western boundary
of Block IV, Maungakawa Survey District; thence towards
the west by the western boundary of the said Block IV, and
the western boundaries of Blocks XVI and XII, Waitoa
Survey District, to the northern boundary of Piako County;
thence towards the south by the said northern boundary to
the Piako River; and thence again towards the west by the
Piako River to the place of commencement.
