- The figures given as the death-rate for Blenheim in the previous returns from 1902 onwards are incorrect, as the mortality for the country around the town was included in error. The town rates have been calculated again and the following are returned as correct. They are furnished by the Registrar after careful examination of the Registers: 1902, 7·71; 1903, 13·25; 1904, 8·23; 1905, 10·92; 1906, 10·72.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of “The Land Act, 1908,” and “The State Forests Act, 1908,” and regulations thereunder, that written tenders will be received at this office, from the proprietors of existing sawmills, and logging contractors, up till 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, 27th January, 1909, for the purchase of the kauri and other milling-timbers standing on the undermentioned lots.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
MANGONUI COUNTY.
Lot 1.
Sections 30, 40, 41, and 41a, Parish of Oruru (Education Reserves):
61 KAURI-TREES, containing (approximately) 240,000 sup. ft. (standing measurement).
205 totara-trees, containing (approximately) 175,000 sup. ft. (standing measurement).
505 puriri-trees, containing (approximately) 350,000 sup. ft. (standing measurement).
Time for removal: Two years.
Upset price for kauri and totara: 1s. 6d. per 100 sup. ft.
