Appointing Members of the Surveyors’ Board under “The New Zealand Institute of Surveyors and Board of Examiners Act, 1900.”

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of December, 1907.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of “The New Zealand Institute of Surveyors and Board of Examiners Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, the undermentioned persons to be members of the Surveyors’ Board constituted by the said Act, namely,—

JOHN STRAUCHON,
DAVID BARRON,
The Hon. GEORGE FREDERICK RICHARDSON, and
PETER EDWARD CHEAL,

the two first-named persons having been nominated by the Minister of Lands, and the two last-named persons having been nominated by the Council of the Institute of Surveyors, as required by the said Act.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Wangapeka Domain.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of December, 1907.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of “The Domain Boards Act, 1904” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made under the provisions of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” on the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE CAMERON,
MICHAEL JOSEPH CORRIGAN,
JOSEPH LEONARD ROLLET,
WILLIAM THOMAS, and
WILLIAM HENRY PHILLIPS,

to be the Wangapeka Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Schoolhouse, Sherry, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

WANGAPEKA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being Section No 31, Block XV, Wangapeka Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 32 of the said Block XV, 2074 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 63 of the said Block XV, 2447 links; towards the west by the Wangapeka—Sherry Road, 1298 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57736/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by section two of “The Domain Boards Act, 1904” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” control of such domain:

to be the Paraparaumu Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Schoolhouse, Paraparaumu, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

PARAPARAUMU DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 5a, Block VIII, Paraparaumu Suburban. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5 of said Block VIII, towards the south-east by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company’s line, towards the south-west by a public road 1 chain wide, and towards the north-west by Section No. 4 of said Block VIII; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57122/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
