Declaring Towai, Waihi Valley, Korora, and Pongaroa Cemetery Reserve Roads, in the Akito County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Auckland, this twenty-sixth day of December, 1907.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.
SCHEDULE.
TOWAI ROAD.
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Akito County, known as the Towai Road, commencing at that portion of the road which was gazetted (27th April, 1905) a county road, at a point opposite the boundary-line between Section 1, Block XIII, Mount Cerberus Survey District, and Section 8, Block II, Mount Cerberus Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the Waihi Valley Road, a distance of two miles, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7664, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and marked E.F., and tinted blue thereon.
WAIHI VALLEY ROAD.
All that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, Akito County, known as the Waihi Valley Road, commencing at that portion of the road which has been gazetted (19th May, 1904) a county road, opposite the most northern portion of Section 2, Block V, Mount Cerberus Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction to the boundary-line between the Wellington and Hawke's Bay Land Districts, a distance of 6 miles 42 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7664, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and marked C.D., and tinted pink thereon.
KORORA ROAD.
All that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Akito County, known as the Korora Road, commencing at its junction with the Waihi Valley Road, near the most southern portion of Section 26, Block II, Mount Cerberus Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction to the boundary-line of the section between Sections 20 and 21, Block II, Mount Cerberus Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7664, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and marked A.B., and tinted light green thereon.
PONGAROA CEMETERY RESERVE ROAD.
All that road in the Wellington Land District, Akito County, known as the Pongaroa Cemetery Reserve Road, commencing at its junction with the Alfredton-Weber Road, near its crossing with the Pongaroa River, about 5 chains to the east of Pongaroa Bridge and near the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block IX, Township of Pongaroa (a school reserve), and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the right bank of the said river, and thence through Urupa Street to Section 18, Suburbs of Pongaroa Township (a cemetery reserve), all situated in Block IX, Mount Cerberus Survey District, being a distance of 23 chains 50 links, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7664, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and marked K.L., and tinted purple thereon.

Authorising the Laying-off of Onehuka Road, in the Borough of Lower Hutt, of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of December, 1907.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty-six of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” it is, inter alia, provided that, where the configuration of any borough is such as that within any particular area or areas thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to construct streets of the width of sixty-six feet as required by the said Act, the Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of such particular area or areas, authorise the Council to permit within such area or areas the construction of streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet:
And whereas the configuration of the Borough of Lower Hutt is such that within the area described in the First Schedule hereto it is difficult or inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and its amendments, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby permit, within the area described in the First Schedule hereto, the laying-off of a street (as described in the Second Schedule hereto) within the said area of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Land District of Wellington, situate in the Borough of Lower Hutt, containing 19 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 75 of the Hutt District, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, the whole of the land included in certificate of title, Vol. lxxix, folio 107; as the said land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8353A, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with green colour.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Land District of Wellington and in the Borough of Lower Hutt, being the street known as “Onehuka Road,” containing 2 roods 30 8/10 perches, more or less, being part of Section 75 of the Hutt District, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8353A, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown in pink colour.

WHEREAS the Cook County Council lately proceeded to raise a loan of three thousand pounds, under “The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of erecting a bridge across the Pakarae River and the construction of the connecting roads: And whereas in taking a poll of the ratepayers on the said proposed loan the voting-paper used by the said Council and placed before the ratepayers was not in the form prescribed by “The Local Bodies' Loans Act Amendment Act, 1906”: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the said voting-paper so used as aforesaid and the proceedings therein;
