Petition for Incorporation by the Owners of the Taumatapatiti No. 2b Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, GISBORNE DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Taumatapatiti No. 2B Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Gisborne, before Robert Noble Jones, Judge, and Hapi Kiniha, Assessor, on Thursday, the 31st day of October, 1907.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing Eraihia Matahiki for the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Taumatapatiti No. 2B Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," by the name of "The Proprietors of the Taumatapatiti No. 2B Block," subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 247 acres, or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by the Taumatapatiti No. 2A Block, towards the east by the Taumatapatiti No. 1A Block, towards the south by the Anaura Block, and towards the west by the Hikuwai River.

And it is hereby ordered and directed that a general meeting of the proprietors of the said block shall be held at Hairini, Tologa Bay, on Saturday, the 7th day of December, 1907, at the hour of 7 o'clock in the evening, for the purpose of nominating a committee to administer the said land, and fixing the number of its members.
