NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned lands will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Thursday, the 5th day of December, 1907, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903.”
If more than one application is received for the same land on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Tenders must be accompanied by a half-year’s rent at the rate offered, and £1 1s. lease fee.

No declaration is required. Residence and improvements are not compulsory. Valuation for improvements to an amount not exceeding £90 will be allowed on the expiry of the lease, or if it is forfeited or terminated. The provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” respecting valuation for improvements and payment or other disposal thereof shall, so far as the same are applicable, apply to the improvements made by the lessee.

Possession will be given on the day of acceptance of tender.

The lease shall be for the term of twenty-one years, but shall be subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government.

The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.
-
The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, ragwort, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.
