PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1905,” the undersigned, Jane Alexander, of Lauder, Widow, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 5th October, 1907; No. 60548.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Lauder District. Commencing in Lauder Creek, near Lauder Railway-bridge, and following Creek Reserve for one-quarter of a mile, crossing corner of Section 10, Block IV, Lauder District, owned by Mrs. Janet Clouston, and entering Section 14, Block IV, same district, the property of applicant, and terminating opposite Lauder Railway-station.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in Teviot River about 350 yards above old United Hercules Head; thence following the river 350 yards; thence along mining reserve on course of old United Hercules Race to saddle, about 1¼ miles; thence through the Teviot Estate and small grazing-run once held by H. H. Heron, by open race with piping over gullies to point above head of Anderson’s Flat, 5¼ miles; thence by iron pipes to claim applied for by me on Anderson’s Flat, 1¼ miles.
