CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Lands in Westland Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that, the leases of the under-mentioned lands having been forfeited by resolution of the Westland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, and at the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1907, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and amendments.

If more than one application is received for the same section on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

Description of Te Mata Settlement.—First-class agricultural land; all flat; specially adapted for fruit-growing; good soil, on shingle formation; excellent climate. Situated from one mile and a half to two miles from Havelock by good level road, from four miles to four miles and a half from Hastings, and about fourteen miles from Napier. There is a plantation of blue-gums along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 4, 5, 8, and 9. The fencing on Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10 goes with the land, and is not to be paid for separately by the tenants.

Description of Sections 14 and 15, Elsthorpe Village.—Flat and gradually rising ground, in good sward. Situated on the main road from Kaikora to the coast, about fourteen miles from the former place. A very pretty spot, approached from both sides through clumps of carefully preserved native bush. Section 14 is weighted with 15s., and Section 15 with £1 10s., for value of fencing. These amounts must be paid in cash by the tenants.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be disposed of under section 115 of “The Land Act, 1892,” on or after Thursday, the 19th day of December, 1907.

Pastoral Runs in Marlborough Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral runs will be offered for lease by public auction, for a term of twenty-one years, at this office, on Wednesday, the 13th day of November, 1907, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of Part VI of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Run 130 is situated at the south-western corner of the province between Guide, Acheron, and Clarence Rivers, about thirty-five miles from Culverden. A large area consists of high ranges of travelling shingle; the lower slopes and river-flats are well grassed—the southern portion, known as “Bullen Hills,” is particularly so. The run has good natural boundaries, for the most part sheep-proof, and there is a good homestead-site, accessible by wagons, on the left bank of the Clarence River near the Dilon Stream.

Run 20 is low-lying country subject to flood, and comprises a large area of salt marsh, with low ridges of higher land covered with grass. Distant about five miles and a half from Blenheim by road. Weighted with £15, valuation for surface-sowing.

Possession will be given on 1st March, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be disposed of to the holder of adjoining land, under section 114 of the said Act, on or after Wednesday, the 25th day of September, 1907.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 4 perches, being Section 32, Block VII, Kawatiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 118 of the said Block VII, towards the east by a public road, towards the south-west by the Westport-Inangahua Railway line, and towards the west by the said Section 118.
