Petition for Incorporation by the Owners of the Maraeahako Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Maraeahako Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Whakatane, before William Gilbert Mair, Judge, and Wiremu Kingi te Wharepurangi, Assessor, on Thursday, the 22nd day of August, 1907.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing Mr. H. Hei, of counsel for the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Maraeahako Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Maraeahako Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 1,894 acres, or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by the Raukokore Block, towards the south-east by the Raukokore Block, towards the south-west by the Motuaruhe Block, and towards the north-west by the sea.

And it is hereby ordered and directed that a general meeting of the proprietors of the said block shall be held at Te Kaha on Tuesday, the 24th day of September, 1907, at the hour of 7 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of nominating a committee to administer the said land, and fixing the number of its members.

And it is hereby further ordered that the committee shall have full power to defray the reasonable costs and expenses consequent upon this incorporation or incidental thereto, and that the title to the said land hereby vested in the corporate body above named shall be subject to all existing rights, alienations, encumbrances, and contracts affecting the same or any interest therein.

Petition for Incorporation by the Owners of the Poututu A No. 4b2 Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, GISBORNE DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Poututu A No. 4b2 Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Gisborne, before Robert Noble Jones, Judge, and Eruera Moeke, Assessor, on Monday, the 2nd day of September, 1907.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Poututu A No. 4b2 Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Poututu A No. 4b2 Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 548 acres, or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by the Poututu A No. 4A Block, towards the east by the Poututu A No. 4b1 Block, towards the south by the Waikohu Stream, and towards the west by Section No. 14, Block XII, Motu Survey District, and by the Rangiriri Stream.
