NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be open for sale or selection, at this office, either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on Wednesday, the 23rd day of October, 1907, under the provisions of Part III of “The Land Act, 1892.”

If more than one application is received for the section on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

Situated seven miles from Kawa Railway-station and five miles from Otorohanga by good road.

NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894”; and in the matter of the land known as Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 3, Sections 1A No. 1, 1A No. 2, and 1A No. 11; and in the matter of an application by Karaitiana te Ahu, made to the Chief Judge of the said Court, in pursuance of section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” for an order to remedy or amend the succession orders made on the 23rd day of October, 1900, in the matter of Kereopa Tukumaru, deceased.

WHEREAS the above application has been referred to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported upon: And whereas it appears that an error was made in the succession order to Kereopa Tukumaru, deceased, in respect to Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 3, Section 1A No. 11:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said order of the 23rd day of October, 1900, appointing successors to the interests or shares of the said Kereopa Tukumaru, deceased, in the said Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 3, Section 1A No. 11, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Hariata Natana, 20 acres; Hokipera Tahurangi, 20 acres; Kanga Tahurangi, 20 acres; Aputa Tukumaru, 50 acres; Karaitiana te Ahu, 60 acres—total area, 170 acres: and that all orders founded upon such succession order be amended accordingly.

As witness my hand, this 5th day of September, 1907.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, GISBORNE DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894”; and in the matter of the land known as Whatatuna No. 3C; and in the matter of an application by Heni Kara to the Chief Judge of the said Court, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” to amend the succession order to Turangi (or Te Toha Turangi), deceased, herein.

WHEREAS the above application has been referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas it appears that the order appointing successors to Turangi (or Te Toha Turangi) in the above block was made in error:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error or mistake, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by the said section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said succession order made on the 21st day of November, 1898, be and is hereby cancelled, and that, for the purpose of determining who are the rightful successors, a fresh application for appointment of successors be lodged with the Registrar, Native Land Court, Gisborne.
