A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906,” for scenery-preservation purposes:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenery-preservation purposes as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the nineteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above.
