MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.

To all whom it may concern.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1905”; and in the matter of taking of certain Native lands in the County of Manawatu for the purposes of a public drain.

TAKE notice that the Council of the County of Manawatu propose taking for a public work, under Part II of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” the parcel of land hereunder described.

And take notice that the plan of such land is deposited at the County Offices, Sanson, and is there open for inspection during office hours. The public work intended to be performed is the construction of a public drain within the County of Manawatu, from the Kaikopu Lakes to the sea. And take notice that you are requested to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice to take such lands—viz., the 15th day of August, 1907—to the Council of the County of Manawatu.

HAWKE’S BAY STEAM LAUNDRY (LIMITED) (IN LIQUIDATION).

CERTIFIED copy of resolutions passed at a special general meeting of shareholders of the Hawke’s Bay Steam Laundry (Limited) held on 11th July, 1907, and confirmed at a further special general meeting held on the 29th July, 1907:—

  1. That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the company, and that the same be accordingly done.

  2. That ARTHUR ERNEST RENOUF be appointed Liquidator at a remuneration of 2½ per cent. on realised assets (including commission on any auction sales).

I, WILLIAM TEMPLE WILLIAMS, heretofore called and known by the name of “William Williams,” of Te Aute, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, Sheep-farmer, hereby give public notice that on the seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven, I assumed and took, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe, the name of “Temple” as a second or additional Christian name, so that my full name will be “William Temple Williams.” And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven, duly executed and attested, and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington, I formally adopted and took the said name of “Temple” as a second and additional Christian name, and declared that I had assumed and taken the said name, and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “William Temple Williams” instead of the name of “William Williams,” and so as to be at all times thereafter known and described by the name of “William Temple Williams” exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Meeting of the contributories of the above-named company is hereby summoned, pursuant to the above statute, for the purpose of receiving the accounts of the Liquidator and his report as to the winding-up of the said company, and that such meeting will be held on Friday, the 30th day of August, 1907, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Borough Council Chamber, Vogel Street, Woodville, at which time and place all the contributories of the said company are requested to attend.

That the Gore-Waikaka Railway Finance Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. GEORGE W. M. BRETT be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
