the Defence Forces of New Zealand, made on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, as are set forth in the said Schedule; and I do hereby declare that such amended regulations shall come into force on the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

SCHEDULE.

AFTER Regulation 374 add,—

“Regulation 374A.—In the case of parades of garrison artillery divisions, regiments of mounted rifles, and battalions of infantry, personal payment for attendance at duly approved daylight parades of such units will be paid to each officer, non-commissioned officer, and man present, irrespective of the proportion of strength or total number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and men present.”

Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block X, Orahiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Hauturu East No. 1a 5c Block, 329·3 and 471·9 links; towards the south-east and south-west by a public road, 219·5, 203·4, and 447·6 links; towards the north-west by Hauturu East No. 1a 5c Block aforesaid, 50 links, and the Waitomo Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51624/118, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For accommodation-house purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 97, Block VI, Patetere North Survey District, 398·3 links; towards the south-east by a public road 100 link wide, 502·1 links; towards the south-west and north-west by Section No. 97 aforesaid, 398·3 and 502·1 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57521/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a public cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Bounded towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 30 and 29 of said Block I, towards the south by Section No. 19B of said block, towards the south-west generally by the Alfredton-Weber Road, and towards the west by Section No. 27 of said Block I; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57506/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a public school.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 9 perches, more or less, being a portion of the bed of the Waimate Stream, situated between Rural Sections Nos. 15659 and 32424, Block IX, Waimate Survey District; as the same is delineated in certificate of title, Vol. 236, folio 86, and shown on the plan marked S.G. 57237/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For water-supply purposes.
