“The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for cemetery purposes as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
