NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be open for sale or selection, at this office, either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on Wednesday, the 23rd day of October, 1907, under the provisions of Part III of “The Land Act, 1892.”

If more than one application is received for the section on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

Altitude, from 400 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. Level to broken country, covered with fern and tea-tree scrub; soil of a light nature, on sandstone formation; well watered by small swamps; general quality of section is fair. Situated seven miles from Kawa Railway-station and five miles from Otorohanga by good road.

Undulating to broken land; about 170 acres fern, 170 acres felled and grassed, 30 acres felled and partly burned, and 60 acres mixed forest, comprising rimu and matai, with undergrowth of mahoe, nikau, punga, supplejack, and ferns; chocolate-coloured soil of good quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by permanent streams. The general quality of the land is good. Situated about seven miles from Matamata Railway-station by good formed road.

Reserve in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction, at the District Lands Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 28th day of August, 1907, at 11 a.m., under the provisions of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881.”

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Town of Rawene, Lot 248c: Area, 5 perches. Upset annual rental, £9.

Weighted with £100, valuation for improvements—shop and store.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Term of lease, seven years from 1st January, 1908, without any right of renewal.

Rent payable half-yearly in advance on 1st January and 1st July in each year; the first half-year’s rent and lease fee (£1 1s.) to be paid on the fall of the hammer.

The lease shall be for the term of years specified above, but shall be subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land described in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Full particulars may be ascertained and plans obtained at this office.
