"THE COMPANIES ACT, 1903," SECTION 266,
SUBSECTION (3).

IT having been reported to me that the Escape Door Lock
Company (Limited), 1881/1, has ceased to carry on
business, I hereby give notice that at the expiration of three
months from this date the name of said company will, unless
cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the Register,
and the company will be dissolved.
Dated this 22nd day of January, 1907, at the Registrar of
Companies' Office, Nelson.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

"THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1905."

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the
powers conferred on it by "The Public Works Act,
1905," and any and every Act enabling it in that behalf, the
Hutt County Council proposes to execute the following
public work, viz.,—
The construction of a road commencing at the north-
western boundary of Section 82, Block V, Paekakariki Sur-
vey District, continuing thence through the said Section 82
and Section 83 of the aforesaid block to the southernmost
corner of the western boundary of Section 84 of the afore-
said block; such road to be known as the "Plimmerton-
Pahautangi Road."
And for the purpose of such public work the lands
specified in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the
proposed work and lands required to be taken is open for
inspection at all reasonable hours at the Post-office, Plim-
merton; and that all persons affected are called upon to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objections they have to
the execution of such work, or to the taking of such lands,
and to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the said Council, addressed to
me at No. 215, Lambton Quay, Wellington.

Dennistoun Buchanan, late of Gover Street, New
Plymouth, Spinster, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that on this 19th day of
January, 1907, I, the undersigned, Wilfred Badger, of
Christchurch, Solicitor, being sole trustee and executor in
the above matters and estate, have fully administered the
said estate as by law required.

In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1905."

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hamilton Borough
Council proposes, under the provisions of "The Public
Works Act, 1905," to execute a certain public work—to wit,
the widening of a public street known as Pembroke Street, in
the Borough of Hamilton—and for the purposes of such
public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken; and notice is further given that the
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
office of the Hamilton Borough Council, and is there open
for inspection; and notice is hereby given that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and
send such writing, within forty days from the first publica-
tion of this notice, to the Hamilton Borough Council, at the
Council Chambers, Hamilton.
