During the year 1905 hosiery to the value of £144,370 was imported. (From the United Kingdom, £141,168; Germany, £2,125; other countries, £1,077.)

During the year 1905 the import of soap and soap-powder was valued at £44,434, against £23,308 in 1900. The import of candles for the same years was valued at £41,686 and £30,658 respectively.
