As the said parcel of land is delineated on the plan or
tracing numbered L and S. 19365, deposited in the Head
Office, Lands Department, at Wellington, and thereon
edged with green. Excepting, however, out of the above-
described parcel of land that portion thereof coloured red
on the said plan or tracing, and shown as the telephone-line
(20 links wide), intersecting Aorangi Agricultural Sections 22
and 23, that further portion thereof being a strip of land in
Aorangi Agricultural Section 15 forming part of Lot 7 (more
particularly shown on the diagram thereof drawn upon the
said plan or tracing), the bed of the Mangatahi Stream, and
also all public roads.

Notifying Land in the Otago Land District subject to “The
Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and its amendments,
I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being
the land known as the Plunket Settlement, which has been
acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts.


SCHEDULE.

PLUNKET SETTLEMENT.

ALL that parcel of land (formerly known as “Corriedale
Estate”) in the Otago Land District, containing by ad-
measurement 6,136 acres, being Sections 40, 50, part 51
(Block IV), Sections 22, 25, and parts 10, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28,
29, 30, and closed roads (Block V), Section 20, parts 2, 4,
and 19 (Block VII), Sections 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, and parts 1, 2, 4,
8, and 9, and closed road (Block IX), Awamoko Survey
District. Bounded on the north by part of Section 18,
Block VII, aforesaid district, 2738 links; on the west by
other part of said Section 18, 39 links; again on the north
by part of Sections 3 and 13, Block V, aforesaid district,
9293·8 links; on the east generally by a road, 5818·5 links;
again on the north by a road, 16353·2 links; again on the
west by a road, 2288·2 links; again on the north by a
road, 3823·8 links: again on the east by Sections 41 and 49,
9638·2 links; by the crossing of a road, 104·3 links; and by
Sections 52 and 71, 4685·6 links, Block IV, aforesaid dis-
trict: on the south by part of Section 39A, Block VIII,
aforesaid district, 3823·8 links; again on the east by part of
said Section 39A, 858·5 links; again on the south by Sec-
tion 5, 5131·4 links, and by the crossing of a road, 101·9 links,
Block IX, aforesaid district; again towards the east gene-
rally by a road, 8563·6 links; again on the south by Sec-
tions 31A, 30A, 21, 22, 25A, 24A, 25, and 26, Block IX, afore-
said district, 21442 links; again on the west by Sections 8,
Block X, and 4, Block VII, and by the Ngapara Rail-
way, 11718·8 links; on the south-west by said railway,
3769·4 links; again on the west by part of Sections 2 and
19, Block VII, and by the crossing of a road, 2315·8 links;
again on the south-west by said road-line, 1050·2 links; and
again on the west generally by Sections 3, 7, and 5, Block VII,
7938·1 links: and excepting out of the above boundaries the
public roads and Ngapara Railway, which are not included
in the area first mentioned: as the land is more particularly
delineated on the plan deposited in the Head Office of the
Lands Department, at Wellington, numbered 19360, and
thereon edged with green.

the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the
Customs and Excise Duties Acts in relation to the under-
