THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

by the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of deviating, forming, and metalling the Toi Toi Road from the Junction Road upwards, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable values of all rateable property of the Toi Toi Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 8, 9, Block III, Huiroa Survey District, and 1, Block XV, Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, at 5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that the above Board intends, at a meeting to be held on Saturday, the 16th day of February, 1907, to confirm the following special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,100, authorised to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Johns Road from the Mountain Road upwards, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable values of the rateable property of the Johns Road Special-rating District, comprising sections, Subsection 5 of part Section 183, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District; Subsections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 7, 9, of part Section 183, Block XII, Egmont Survey District; Subsections 1, 2, 3, 4, of part Section 183, Block V, Huiroa Survey District; Subsections 6, 8, of part Section 183, Block IX, Huiroa Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, at 5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.

WOODVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £250.—Makairo-Kumeroa-Awapikopiko Road.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, the Woodville County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Woodville County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of metalling the road known as the Makairo-Kumeroa Road, commencing at the provincial boundary through Section 24, Block XIII, Tahoraité Survey District, and thence a distance of 114 chains to the junction of the Awapikopiko Road, and thence up that road to the provincial boundary at the southern corner of Section 1, Block XIII, Tahoraité Survey District, a distance of 70 chains, the said Woodville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound (unimproved value) on all rateable property included in the Kumeroa-Makairo-Awapikopiko Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 1, 2, 18, 19, 20, 24, 37, 39, Block XIII, Tahoraité Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st October in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest on such loan to be at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum; also the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest to be paid out of the aforesaid loan of £250.

The common seal of the Corporation of the inhabitants of the Woodville County was hereunto affixed in the presence of—

COUNTY OF COLLINGWOOD.—AORERE RIDING.

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan.

In the matter of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 30th day of March, 1907, a proposal was submitted by the Collingwood County Council to the ratepayers of the Aorere Riding of the County of Collingwood for raising a special loan of £1,750 for providing half the cost of a new steel superstructure for the cart-bridge over the Aorere River at Rockville, in the said riding; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 49; against, 5; informal, 1.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road through Section 3, Block VII, Taihape Township, Taihape Borough.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road through Section 3, Block VII, Taihape Township, Taihape Borough, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Taihape, and is there open for inspection. And notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.
