Note.—A warm and sunny month, but windy at times.
The 14th was very sultry, and overcast with cirrus haze; on
15th sheet lightning was observed, and rain followed. On
16th T. and L. at 1.40 a.m. and on the 17th at 4.15 p.m.
There was at this time little wind, but an abundance of
welcome rain. Bright sunshine on 27 days amounted to 194
hours 14 minutes. Mean daily range of temperature, 11·3°.
Mean dew point, 54·6°. Mean elastic force of vapour,
·425 inches. Mean relative humidity, 73 per cent. of satura-
tion.
