Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by section forty-two of “The Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1906,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for a landing-place to a reserve for a cemetery-site.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Section No. 8, Block VI, Totaranui Survey District, and bounded as follows: towards the north-eastward, 336 links, by a public road; towards the south-eastward, 485 links, by a public road; towards the south-westward, 426 links, by Section No. 2, Block VI, Totaranui Survey District; and towards the north-westward, 503 links, by said Section No. 2. Also a strip of land lying between the said Section No. 8 and high-water mark of Awaroa Inlet, described as a public road. As the same are delineated on plan numbered 35, Totaranui Survey District folio, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Nelson.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by section forty-seven of “The Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1906,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for a landing-place to a reserve for a public recreation-ground.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 30 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 1136, Town of Picton: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47610, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the fifteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seven, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT. — WAIKATO COUNTY. — WHANGAMARINO PARISH.

Rural Lands.

Altitude, from 140 ft. to 180 ft. above sea-level. About three-quarters of Section 54, one-quarter of Section 79, and one-half of each of Sections 80 and 81 consist of drainable swamp with a little flax scattered throughout; balance level and undulating land covered with fern and tea-tree. Soil of a swampy alluvial nature resting on clay formation, well watered. Situated about seven miles from Wairangi Railway-station by good unmetalled coach-road.

Notifying Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seven, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

Town Lands.

Town of Manaia.

Suburban Lands.

Town of Aria.

These suburban sections consist of flat terraces at front, covered with fern, and sloping down to raupo swamps at back. The swamps have a good fall into the Mokau-iti Stream, and can be easily drained. The soil is a loose loam of fair quality, and should grow good grass.

Town of Mangamui.

Good grass land. On the Te Arei Road, three miles south of Huirangi, and six miles from Waitara; also accessible by the Everett and Bristol Roads, from Inglewood (eight miles distant) through the Rimutauteka Block.
