No. 27, Lance-Corporal James Buckley, Rangiora Rifle Volunteers,
he having a total service to 31st December, 1906, entitling him thereto of twenty years and four days.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in the Boundaries of the City of Wellington and of the Borough of Onslow.

PURSUANT to section 176 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the present South Ward of the Borough of Onslow, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be excluded from the said Borough of Onslow, and included in the City of Wellington. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice; such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern boundary-line of Original Section No. 8, in Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District, from the northernmost corner of that section to the branch of the Kaiwara Stream forming the eastern boundary of the said Section No. 8; thence by the said branch and the Kaiwara Stream to the south-western boundary-line of Original Section No. 3, in Block XI, Belmont Survey District; thence by that section and its south-western boundary-line produced to Port Nicholson; thence towards the south-east by Port Nicholson to the boundary of the City of Wellington; thence towards the south generally by the City of Wellington to the Borough of Karori; thence by the Borough of Karori to the Kaiwara Stream; and thence towards the north-west generally by the said Kaiwara Stream and the Otari Native Reserve to the southernmost corner of Section No. 7, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District; and thence by the last-mentioned section to the northernmost corner of Section No. 8 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
THAT, on and after the 1st day of February, 1907, the Road Board of the Matamata Road District shall be dissolved, and such road district merged in the Piako County.

THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of Special Order.—Special Meeting, 8th December, 1906.
THAT, in pursuance of and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the several amendments thereof, the Horowhenua County Council resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest at 4 per cent. and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” clause 14, paragraph 4, for the purpose of constructing the Florida Road in the Florida Road Special-rating District, as comprised in the following—Sections Nos. 57, 58, 59, 60, and 6B, in Block VI, Waiopehu Survey District—the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properties in the Florida Road Special-rating District, or as more particularly set forth in the ratepayers’ consent and plan of said district; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. This special order to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 12th day of January, 1907.
I hereby certify to the above being a correct copy of the special order relating to Florida Road Special-rating District loan of £300, made on the 8th day of December, 1906.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of Confirmation of Special Order of 8th December, 1906.—Ordinary Meeting, 12th January, 1907.
That the special order made at a special meeting on the 8th day of December, 1906, for the raising a loan of £300 for constructing the Florida Road in the Florida Road Special-rating District, and the making and levying a special rate of 1½d. upon the rateable value of all rateable properties in the said special-rating district, be now confirmed.
I hereby certify the above to be a correct copy of the resolution confirming the special order to which it relates on the 12th day of January, 1907.
