part of Section No. 46, Block IX, 1697 links, being the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less: and excepting out of the above boundaries the
Signal Hill Road and two other roads for which allowance
has been made in the above-described area.
Also, all that area in the Otago Land District, containing
by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part
of Section No. 1 of 32, Block IX, North Harbour and Blue-
skin Survey District. Commencing at the northern corner
of aforesaid section; thence bounded towards the north-east
by Section No. 6, by the crossing and abutment of a road,
1530 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 7, the
crossing of a road, and by part of Section No. 8, 713·7 links;
thence by lines through aforesaid Section No. 1 of 32, bearing
322° 13', 313 links; bearing 293° 7' 30", 427·7 links; bearing
252° 52' ½", 175·5 links; bearing 311° 20', 369·6 links;
bearing 317° 30½', 472 links; bearing 32° 44½', 313·3 links;
and towards the north-west by part of Section No. 40, all
of aforesaid block and district, 330·4 links, being the point
of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less: and excepting out of the above boundaries a road-line
for which allowance has been made in the above-described
area.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 53782/49, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS an extension of the Picton-Hurunui Railway to a point in the Blind River Estate (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1899”: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same—namely, remaining portion of Blind River Section:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
PICTON-HURUNUI RAILWAY.
COMMENCING at a point in Section 25, Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District, marked 38 miles 1 chain, which point is also the point of termination of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 20th day of September, 1901, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 86, of 26th September, 1901; proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction for a distance of about 1 mile 60 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz., Sections 25, 24, 18, and 19, and terminating at a point on the boundary between Sections 19 and 20, all in Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District: including all intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: in the manner delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 22503, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Gisborne-Rotorua Railway to take further land in Block III, Waikohu Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
