CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Pastoral Runs in Westland Land District for Pastoral License by Public Auction.

District Lands Office,
Hokitika, 18th November, 1907.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral runs will be offered for pastoral license by public auction, for the terms and at the upset annual rentals stated, at this office, on Wednesday, the 22nd January, 1907, at 2 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments.

Class II.

Runs Nos. 20, 47, and 49 are offered subject to payment of valuation for improvements, in terms of section 207 of “The Land Act, 1992,” as amended by section 55 of “The Land Laws Amendment Act, 1907.”

Possession of Runs Nos. 20, 47, and 49 will be given on the 1st March, 1909; possession of the other runs will be given on day of sale.

General Descriptions.

Run No. 62.—Situated on Diedrich Range and Knobby Ridge. Includes all open tussock country above bush level and 20 chains into bush. Rough feed for sheep in summer only. Access from Whitcombe Pass Track and Hokitika River bed.

Run No. 94.—Situated on Bannockbrae Range. Includes all the open tussock country above bush level. Rough summer feed for sheep only. Access from Mahitahi River bed.

Run No. 449.—Situated on coast watershed at Cascade Bay, south of Hope River. Bush-clad country, sloping to the sea-beach. Cattle-feed only. Access by bridle-road from Hope River along coast.

Run No. 16.—Situated in Omoeroa Valley and on Omoeroa Range. Bush-clad hillside, sloping down to Omoeroa and Waiho Rivers. Cattle-feed only. Access from Main South Road.

Run No. 63.—Situated in Wataroa Valley. Bush-clad terraces and hillsides. Cattle-feed only. Access by Main South Road.

Run No. 68.—Situated on the watershed of Stafford River. Low undulating hills, wholly covered with dense forest. Cattle-feed only. Access by bridle-road (much out of repair) from Jackson’s Bay.

Run No. 105.—Situated in Upper Taipo Valley. Bush-clad hillsides, with small patches of open flat and islands. Access by Taipo Track and river-bed.

Run No. 4.—Situated on the south side of the Taramakau River above the junction of the Otira River, in Upper Taramakau, Otahaki, and Otira Valleys, on northern faces of Aicken’s Range. Bush-clad terraces and hillsides. Cattle-feed only. Access by open river-bed from Hokitika—Christchurch Road.

Run No. 20.—Occupies the middle portion of the Paringa Valley, South Westland, and comprises bush-clad slopes of hills up to quarter of a mile below bush-line, with river-flats more or less open and scrub-covered. The run is mainly fitted for cattle-raising, with small scattered areas sufficient for a limited number of sheep. Access by Main South Road (bridle), which passes through lower portion of the run. Distant twelve miles by pack-road from Port of Bruce Bay, and seven miles from Port of Paringa (calling-places of steamers). Paringa post and telephone office is near at hand.

Run No. 47.—Occupies the whole of the upper watershed of the Okuru River up to quarter of a mile below bush-line. Cattle-feed only. Distant, by pack-road, ten miles from Port and Settlement of Okuru.

Run No. 49.—Occupies the upper watershed of the Kakapotahi River, and comprises wholly bush-covered country, fitted only for cattle. Access by metalled bridle-road, eight miles from Main South cart-road and fourteen miles from Town of Ross.

Land in Wellington Land District for Disposal under Section 114 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be disposed of to the holder of adjoining land, under section 114 of the said Act, on or after Friday, the 28th day of February, 1908.

Land in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands Office, Auckland, on Friday, the 10th day of January, 1908, at 11 a.m.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Term of lease: Fourteen years without right of renewal. Payment of the first half-year’s rent and lease fee (£1 1s.) to be made on fall of hammer.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease or any part thereof, except with the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within sixty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Dunedin, 29th October, 1907.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 240 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the undermentioned land will be disposed of to the holder of adjoining land, under section 114 of the said Act, on or after Friday, the 31st day of January, 1908.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 13, Block V, Blackstone Survey District: 120 acres 3 roods 20 perches.
