REGULATION.

The close season for the species of fish known as mullet or kanæ in the North Island of New Zealand, which was prescribed by regulations made by Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, shall not operate or have effect within the Borough of Thames, nor within that area covered by the waters of the sea and the tidal waters of the same which lies to the south of a line drawn from Taruru Point, Thames, to the extreme point on the left bank at the mouth of the Makaka Creek, in the Wharekawa Survey District; as the said area is coloured red on the plan marked M.D. 3124, deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Recreation Reserves in Wellington Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

By virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserves shall hereafter form part of Hunter ville Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

All that area of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 19·9 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, and 178, Town of Hunter ville.

Also all that area of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 14·7 perches, more or less, being Section No. 163, Town of Hunter ville.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 46632B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all those areas in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre each, being Sections Nos. 9 and 10, Town of Hunter ville, and comprising the lands described in certificates of title, Vol. 47, folio 246, and Vol. 51, folio 127, Wellington.

Setting apart Land under “The Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1905.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

In exercise and pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section three of “The Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of “The Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1905,” and its amendment, the said land being land acquired and proclaimed under “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Part of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement.

All that area in the Auckland Land District being Sections Nos. 7 and 9 of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement, situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 3 roods 38 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road 100 links wide, 351·5 links; towards the east by a public road 100 links wide, 181 links; towards the south by Section No. 10 of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement, 351·5 links; and towards the west by the Waikato Railway, 181 links.

Also Section No. 13 of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement aforesaid, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 11·67 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 11, 354·18 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 24, 117·85 links; towards the south by Section No. 15, 291·82 links—all the aforesaid sections being of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement; and towards the west by a public road 100 links wide, 100 links.

Also Sections Nos. 21 and 22 of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement aforesaid, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 15 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north and north-west by Section No. 17, 146·53 and 156·74 links respectively; towards the north-east by Section No. 23, 229·46 links—both the aforesaid sections being of Eccleston No. 2 Settlement; towards the south-east by a public road 100 links wide, 368 links; and towards the west by a public road 100 links wide, 235 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19332/57, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Amending Terms and Conditions of Lease of Lands in Horowhenua Village Settlement.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made and issued on the seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, under the authority of section one hundred and sixty-nine of “The Land Act, 1892,” fixing the terms and conditions of lease upon which lands in Horowhenua Village Settlement should be disposed of, it was provided that no married woman shall be eligible as a selector in the said village settlement:

And whereas it is expedient, subject to the approval of the Wellington Land Board, to allow married women to select land in the Horowhenua Village Settlement aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby amend the Order in Council aforesaid, so far as it affects the regulation that no married woman shall be eligible as a selector in the Horowhenua Village Settlement; and doth by this present Order declare that, on and after the date hereof, any married woman may, subject to the approval of the Wellington Land Board, select land in the said Horowhenua Village Settlement.
