NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Application for Confirmation Certificate under Section 55.

Registrar’s Office, Auckland, 22nd January, 1907.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made to a Judge of the Court for a certificate under section 55 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” confirming the alienation hereunder specified. All objections to the granting of such certificate must be lodged with me within fourteen days from the publication of this notice.

Sitting of the Native Appellate Court at Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay.

Registrar’s Office, Gisborne, 28th January, 1907.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Appellate Court will be held at Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, on the 14th day of February, 1907, to hear, determine, and exercise all the jurisdiction conferred upon it by section 7 of “The Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment Act, 1906,” as set forth in the Schedule hereto. All persons interested in the said matters are hereby notified to attend at the time and place aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

The final orders of the Court, or of the Appellate Court, made under the provisions of “The Native Equitable Owners Act, 1886,” or subsection (10) of section 14 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” in respect of Potaka No. 1, Wharepu No. 1, Taumata-o-te-O, Ohuia No. 1, Hereheretau B, and Te Kiwi Blocks are hereby cancelled, and the Appellate Court may rehear the applications on which such final orders are founded.

NOTICE is hereby given that the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at New Plymouth on the 11th day of February, 1907, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

REFERENCE BY THE CHIEF JUDGE OF THE NATIVE LAND COURT UNDER SECTION 49 OF “THE NATIVE LAND LAWS AMENDMENT ACT, 1895.”

Did Pairama convey 10 acres to Rogers, and will 10 acres to Rutira and 10 acres to Kima, and was there any balance of Pairama undisposed of by him? Did Rutira will her interest, plus this 10 acres, to Rogers? Would the Court have granted probate of these wills if applied for in time? Failing a will, who are the proper successors (a) of Pairama, (b) of Rutira? Do these successors oppose legislation to validate such wills; if so, on what grounds, or do they consent? And the other such questions more fully set out in the order of reference filed in the Court.
