NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the GOLDFIELDS EXPLORATION SYNDICATE (LIMITED) held at the syndicate’s office, Shortland Street, Auckland, on 22nd October, 1906, and confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held at the same place on the 12th day of November, 1906:—

  1. That the Goldfields Exploration Syndicate (Limited) be wound up voluntarily. 2. That Mr. WILLIAM GRAY be appointed Liquidator, at a fee of £5.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Livingstone.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, George Duff Grant, of Otiake, farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 28th August, 1906; No. 57719.
Address for service: Care of Hislop and Creagh, Solicitors, Oamaru.
Dated at Oamaru, this 11th day of September, 1906.

SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in the Otiake River about 40 chains distant from the south-east corner of Section 12, Block II, Kurow Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction through Sections 17 and 16 of the same block, and terminating in Section 15 of same block.
Length and intended course of race: One mile and a half.
Points of intake: Opposite Section 12, Block II, Kurow Survey District.
Estimated time and cost of construction: About £25; three weeks.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. wide and 1 ft. deep.
Number of heads to be diverted: Two heads.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Stock and irrigation.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
Signature of Applicant: GEORGE D. GRANT.

Precise time of filing of the foregoing application: 10.50 a.m., 21st September, 1906.
Time and place appointed for the hearing of the application and all objections thereto: The first sitting of the Warden’s Court at Livingstone after sixteen days from this date, at 11 a.m.
Objections thereto must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to applicant at least twenty-four hours before the day so appointed.

THE ALEXANDRA BONANZA GOLD-DREDGING AND SLUICING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of shareholders in the above company will be held in the office of the Liquidator, No. 24 Manse Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 4th December, 1906, at 4 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having laid before it an audited account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the assets disposed of.
The following extraordinary resolution will also be submitted:—
“That the books and documents of the company be retained by the Liquidator for a period of six months, and be thereafter destroyed.”

THE WESTLAND WATER-SUPPLY, ELECTRIC POWER, AND GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).

A SPECIAL resolution was carried at a meeting of shareholders on 10th October, 1906, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on 30th October, 1906:—
“That the Westland Water-supply, Electric Power, and Gold-dredging Company (Limited) be forthwith voluntarily wound-up; and that Mr. RICHARD WILD be appointed Liquidator, at a fee of £15.

I HAVE to inform you that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held on Tuesday evening last (13th instant) the following resolution was passed by an overwhelming majority:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that WILFRED HUBERT HEMINGWAY be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
