THE following special order, made by the Mangawhero Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MANGAWHERO ROAD BOARD.
A Special Meeting of the Mangawhero Road Board held at Wanganui Office on the 12th September, 1906, for the Purpose of making a Special Order and Rate to provide Interest and Sinking Fund on a Loan of £200 to be borrowed for the Purpose of paying the Governor’s Award respecting Shakespeare Cliff Road.
Present: Messrs. D. Mason (Chairman), D. Ross, F. H. Allen, A. Caines.
Moved by the Chairman, seconded by Mr. D. Ross,—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mangawhero Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Mangawhero Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the amount awarded by the Governor’s Warrant (Gazette, 1904, pages 1542–3) to be paid by the Mangawhero Road Board to the Mataongaonga Road Board as the portion of costs of the Shakespeare Cliff Road, the said Mangawhero Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properties in the Mangawhero Road Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is paid off.
I, David Mason, Chairman of the Mangawhero Road Board, do hereby certify that the within copy of a special order is a true copy of special order adopted by a resolution of the Mangawhero Road Board passed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 12th day of September, 1906, which special order was subsequently confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 7th day of November, 1906.

A Special Meeting of the Mangawhero Road Board held at Wanganui Office on the 7th November, 1906, to confirm Special Order.
Present: Messrs. D. Mason (Chairman), F. H. Allen, A. Caines, D. Ross, and H. M. Speed.
Moved by the Chairman, and seconded by Mr. D. Ross,—

Special Order made by the Hutt River Board.

THE following special order, made by the Hutt River Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HUTT RIVER BOARD.
Pursuant to a requisition by the Chairman, a special meeting of the Hutt River Board will be held in the Board’s office, Main Road, Lower Hutt, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday next, 8th instant, for the purpose of passing the following resolution by way of special order:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hutt River Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt River Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of further protective works in the said district (including an embankment across the western branch of the Hutt River at or near White’s Line, and thence through Gear Island, and recrossing the aforesaid western branch of the Hutt River near the Pipe Bridge), and the acquisition of land in connection with the carrying-out of the Board’s works, and the payment of compensation to any persons in connection with the existing river-protective works or the said loan of £10,000, the said Board hereby make and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon Class 1 of the lands within the said district (being the lands liable to great actual damage), and a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound on Class 2 of the lands within the said district (being the lands liable to less actual damage), and a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound on Class 3 of the said lands (being the lands indirectly liable to damage); and that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed by way of special order, this 8th day of November, 1906.
