Town District of Raglan, County of Raglan: Amended Description of Boundaries.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation made under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” dated the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and six, the Town District of Raglan was constituted under the said Act with the boundaries described in the Schedule annexed to the said Proclamation:

And whereas the description contained in the said Schedule does not accurately define the boundaries of the Raglan Town District as set forth in the petition praying for the constitution of the said town district, and it is expedient to rectify the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the description of the boundaries of the Town District of Raglan as set forth in the Schedule to the above-mentioned Proclamation are hereby amended, and that the boundaries of the said town district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

RAGLAN TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Karioi Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of Pink Street with the shore of Whaingaroa Harbour at the easternmost corner of Allotment No. 9, Section No. 7, subdivision of Original Section No. 35, Parish of Whaingaroa; thence following the coast-line continuously towards the north, north-west, and south by Whaingaroa Harbour and Opoturu Creek to the junction of Cross Street with high-water mark at the westernmost corner of Allotment No. 37, Section No. 35, Parish of Whaingaroa; thence towards the south-east and east by Allotments Nos. 37 and 39 of the said Section No. 35 to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 51; thence towards the north-east by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 51 and 50 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment opposite the southernmost corner of Allotment No. 1 of Section No. 7, subdivision of Original Section No. 35 aforesaid; thence by a right line across a public road to the said southernmost corner of the last-mentioned allotment; and thence towards the south-east by Pink Street to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the remaining portion of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway—namely, an extension southwards from a point in Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, to Hukerenui, and for road-diversions in connection therewith:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purpose hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:
