Oct. 25.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 2831
NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.
Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of the succession to the interests of Marata te Taupua, deceased, in Tihiotonga, Rotohokahoka C, Rotohokahoka D, Kaitao No. 2A, and Kaitao No. 2B; and in the matter of the application of Te Taiawa te Mateiwa, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas the Native Land Court, by orders dated the 28th day of April, 1903, appointed Te Pakana te Awaawa (M.), Te Wharehooro te Mateiwa (M.), Hamiora te Mateiwa (M.), and Pukehuia te Mateiwa (F.) to succeed to the interest of Marata te Taupua in the several blocks above mentioned:
And whereas it appears that the said Te Taiawa te Mateiwa is equally entitled with the said Te Pakana te Awaawa, Te Wharehooro te Mateiwa, Hamiora te Mateiwa, and Pukehuia te Mateiwa to a share of the said interest, and that the name of the said Te Taiawa te Mateiwa was, by mistake, omitted when the matter of the said succession was under investigation before the Native Land Court:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said mistake, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by the said Act, and by section 39 thereof, I hereby order that the said several succession orders of the 28th day of April, 1903, be amended by adding thereto the name of Te Taiawa te Mateiwa as one of the successors to the interest of the said Marata te Taupua in the several blocks above mentioned, and entitled to an equal share.
As witness my hand, this 18th day of October, 1906.
