Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermen-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth
the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A
fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 19947.—30th August, 1905.—JOHN HENRY ADAMS, of
Thames, Auckland, New Zealand, Engineer. Improvements
in or relating to medical syringes.*
Claims.—(1.) A medical syringe comprised by an air-
tight cylinder adapted to contain liquids, and provided with
a pipe controlled by a valve leading from one end thereof,
an air-pump mounted centrally within the cylinder, and
projecting from one end thereof, an outlet pipe from the
inner end of the pump leading into the cylinder, and a
check-valve on the end of such pipe, substantially as speci-
fied. (2.) The improvements in or relating to medical
syringes, substantially as described and explained, as illus-
trated in the drawings, and for the several purposes set
forth.

No. 19956.—31st August, 1905.—JOSEPH DAWSON, of Wel-
ington, New Zealand, Bridge-builder. Improvements in the
construction of suspension bridges.*
Claims.—(1.) In the construction of suspension bridges,
suspending-rods each attached to a clamp at its upper end,
which clamp consists of two plates adapted to pass one below
and the other above the suspension cables and to be bolted
together with the cables between their faces, and the lower
ends of which rods pass through the girders and stringers
of the bridge, and are provided with nuts screwed upon their
bottom ends, substantially as specified. (2.) In the con-
struction of suspension bridges, suspending-rods attached to
the suspension cables and to the bridge in the manner claimed
in claim 1, in combination with connecting pieces extending
outwards from the side trusses of the bridge and secured at
their inner ends to such side trusses, and provided at their
outer ends with eyes through which the corresponding sus-
pending-rods are passed, substantially as specified. (3.) The
improvements in the construction of suspension bridges, sub-
stantially as described and explained, and as illustrated in
the drawings.

Claim.—The combination in a water-heater of the two
upright water cases or jackets made of parallel corrugated
plates, and also forming between the two jackets a corrugated
heating-flue, as substantially set forth.
