Land temporarily reserved in the Otago Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or parti-
cular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Otago Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land
so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2,358 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 8, 9, 11, and 12, Block XII, Glenkenich
Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sec-
tions Nos. 78 and 72A of Block XI, Glenkenich Survey
District, the crossing of a public road, and by Section No. 72
of the said Block XI; towards the east by a public road, by
Sections Nos. 4, 1, and 5, Block XII, Rankleburn Survey
District, and by the road reserve along the left bank of the
Pomahaka River; towards the south by the last-mentioned
road reserve; and towards the west by Section No. 10 of
Block XII, Glenkenich Survey District, by a road reserve,
the crossing of same, and by Section No. 3 of the said
Block XII: exclusive of road reserves which intersect the
above-described area: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 43888A/312, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bor-
dered red. For the growth and preservation of timber.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and six.

PLUNKET, Governor.

by admeasurement 1,623 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 5, Block XIV, Hikurangi Survey District. Bounded
towards the north generally by a forest reserve; towards
the north-east by Section No. 3, Block XIV, Hikurangi
Survey District; towards the south generally by Huiarua
No. 2 Block; and towards the west generally by Crown
lands and a road reserve along the left bank of the Waitahaia
River and the Ruatahunga Stream: as the same is deli-
eated on the plan marked S.G. 55750, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. For an endowment for primary
education.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this first day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and six.
