Additional Land in Woodville Survey District taken for the Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-Napier Railway to take further land in Woodville Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

A. R. P. 31 2 0 E.R. 173 and 174 VIII Woodville.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 14513, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Closing a Government Road in Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (c), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road in Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey District:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road in Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey District, hereinafter described.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Consenting to closing Roads in the Parish of Tahawai, Tauranga County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of August, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Tauranga County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Tauranga County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
