Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Lands taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin District, Borough of Maori Hill.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905." for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of the Main Leith Valley Road, in North Harbour and Blueskin District:
And whereas the Maori Hill Borough Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905." and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the said road.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. under "The Public Works Act. 1905." for a certain public work. to wit, for a quarry in connection with the Greymouth Harbour works:
And whereas the Greymouth Harbour Board has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by "The Public Works Act, 1905."
Now, therefore. I. William Lee. Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for a quarry in connection with the Greymouth Harbour works. and shall vest in the Greymouth Harbour Board from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of December, 1905.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Native land and is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," and "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners, and the title thereto is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in duplicate, as required by the eighty-ninth section of "The Public Works Act, 1905";
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken.
