NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.
Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of the New Zealand Company’s Tenths, Nelson District, and of the application of Unaiki Weepu, dated the 8th day of August, 1901, and made under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” claiming to be included as one of the successors to the interest of Kahuraupo, deceased, in the above-named New Zealand Company’s Tenths.
WHEREAS the above application was referred to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas it appears from the said report that the said application has been gazetted several times, but no one has appeared to prosecute the claim:
Now, therefore, I, the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, in exercise of the powers in that behalf conferred on me by the said section 39, do hereby dismiss the said application.
As witness my hand, this 31st day of July, 1906.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of the land known as Awapatiki No. 2A2, and of the succession to the interests of Hirawanu Tapu and Rohana (his wife), both deceased, therein; and of the applications of Tamihana Heta, Horomona Rehe, and Paranihi, made to the Chief Judge of the said Court, in pursuance of the provisions of section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” in respect thereof.
WHEREAS the said applications were referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and, upon such inquiry held in open Court before Gilbert Mair, Esquire, and an Assessor, and upon further argument before me, it appears that the succession order made on the 18th day of June, 1904, whereby Kiti Riawai and Ani Wi Hoeta were determined to be the successors to the said interest of the said Hirawanu Tapu was made in error, and that the rightful successors to the said interest of the said Hirawanu Tapu are Horomona Rehe, Paranihi Heta, and Tamihana Heta:
And whereas, upon such inquiry and argument as aforesaid, it appears that the succession order made the 18th day of June, 1904, whereby Wi Hoeta was determined to be the successor to the said interest of Rohana Tapu was not made in error, and that the said Wi Hoeta is the rightful successor to the said interest of the said Rohana Tapu:
Now, therefore, I, the undersigned, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, in exercise of the power in that behalf conferred on me by the said section 39, do hereby order as follows:—
-
That the succession order purporting to determine the successors to the said interest of Hirawanu Tapu, deceased, be amended by deleting therefrom the names of Kiti Riawai and Ani Wi Hoeta, and by inserting therein as such successors the names of Horomona Rehe, Paranihi Heta, and Tamihana Heta.
-
That the said applications, so far as they respectively relate to the said interest of the said Rohana, be and the same are hereby dismissed.
As witness my hand, this 31st day of July, 1906.
H. G. SETH-SMITH, Chief Judge.
