Additional Land in Belmont Survey District taken for the
Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-
Napier Railway to take further land in Belmont Survey
District, in addition to land previously acquired for the
purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The
Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the
Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

and 14099, deposited in the office of the Minister for Rail-
ways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellin-
ton, and thereon coloured yellow, blue, pink, neutral, purple,
green, and red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its De-
pendencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-eighth day of July, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed
“the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that
before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended
upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same
be proclaimed as set apart for settlement :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart
for settlement.

Bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey
District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
third day of July, 1906.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
for the purpose of a road-approach to bridge in Whata-
tutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District :

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown :

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the
said land, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The
Public Works Act, 1905” :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare
that the land shown upon such map, and described in the
Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the pur-
pose of the said road-approach, and the said land shall
vest in His Majesty the King, as from the first day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and six.
