Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Tiriraukawa Domain.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of “The Domain Boards Act, 1904” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such person or persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made under the provisions of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” on the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby appoint

CHARLES LEARY,
JAMES FLOYD,
NORMAN JOHNSON, and
HERBERT O’CALLAGHAN

to be the Tiriraukawa Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the School Hall, Pohouini, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

TIRIRAUKAWA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Section No. 42, Block VI, Tiriraukawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 45 and 18 of Block VI, Tiriraukawa Survey District; towards the south-east by the said Section No. 18; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 47 and 41 of the said Block VI; and towards the north-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 54860, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON CREEK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 49 acres 3 roods 18 perches, more or less, being Section No. 25, Block VIII, Mawheranui Survey District. Bounded towards the north partly by land reserved for extension of Hatter’s Terrace Township and partly by Crown lands, 644 and 684 links; towards the east by a public road, 3200 links; towards the south by Crown lands, 1567 links; and towards the west partly by Crown lands, 3176 links, and partly by Section No. 22, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55079, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Recreation Reserve in Taranaki Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of Inglewood Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 22 acres 2 roods 30·3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 292 and part of Section No. 181, Town of Inglewood. Bounded towards the north-east by Humphries Street; towards the south-east generally by Wortley Road, Section No. 293 (cemetery reserve), and a public road; towards the south-west by Junction Road; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 231, 230, 228, 224, 218, 213, 204, 197, 185, 175, 162, 148, 135, 122, 109, 97, 85, 73, 61, 50, 40, 30, 20, and 10: excluding Peach Road, which intersects the said Section No. 181: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 50479, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Grey, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
