  • Means, &c. † Monthly means previous years.

NOTE.—Weather mild and dry until latter part of month, when it became raw, humid, and windy. Mean relative humidity, 78 per cent.; mean dew point, 42·7° F.; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·274 in.; mean daily range, 10·1° F. New observatory in a more open site. Three days’ simultaneous observations before removal showed similar temperatures of air in shade, but lower terrestrial radiation and higher velocity of wind.
