THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £100, Scott’s Ferry—Sea-beach Road.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of acquiring, fencing, and forming a road from Scott’s Ferry to the sea-beach (portion of cost), the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Scott’s Ferry Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 and 2, and A and B, Block I, Sandy Survey District; and Sections 4 and 7 and part Section 5 (63 acres 1 rood 8 perches), Block I, Te Kawau Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

I, Reginald Edward Beckett, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 2nd day of June, 1906, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 7th day of July, 1906.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.
