In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of Porter and Walker (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 20th day of July, 1906, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to the undersigned, GEORGE WILLIAM HULME, of Christchurch, Accountant, the Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are, by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any disposition made before such debts are proved.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of Porter and Walker (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following entry was made in the minute-book of the above-named company on the 15th day of June, 1906, and signed by at least three-fourths of the members of the company, holding in the aggregate at least three-fourths of the shares in the capital of the company:—

“In the matter of Porter and Walker (Limited), a private company incorporated under ‘The Companies Act, 1903.’ It is hereby resolved that the above-named company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that GEORGE WILLIAM HULME, of Christchurch, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of “The Motor Registration Act, 1905.”

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Masterton Borough Council, being a “registering authority” within the meaning of “The Motor Registration Act, 1905,” has decided, by resolution, that the said Act shall be brought into force in the district of the said registering authority. The date upon which the Act is first to be brought into operation is the 12th day of July, 1906.

WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

“Motor Registration Act, 1905.”

IN pursuance of the provision of “The Motor Registration Act, 1905,” public notice is hereby given that the Wanganui Borough Council decided, by resolution passed on the 26th day of June, 1906, that the said Act shall be brought into force in the Borough of Wanganui on the 30th day of July, 1906.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between GEORGE FREETH, formerly of Mount Pleasant but now of Koromiko, and JOHN JAMES WINSBURY WHITE, of Blenheim, under the name and style of “Freeth and Co,” as producers and vendors of New Zealand wines, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to the late firm are to be paid to the said John James Winsbury White, whose receipt for the same shall be a sufficient discharge.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, EDWARD JAMES ELLIOTT and ARCHIBALD McCORMICK, the Younger, both of Eskdale, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, carrying on business together as Carriers, under the style or firm of “Elliott and McCormick,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the day of the date hereof; and every creditor of or claimant against the said firm should forthwith send particulars of his debt or claim to the said Archibald McCormick, the younger, who hereby undertakes to get in all outstanding assets and to discharge all existing debts and liabilities of the said firm.

The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
