IN the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st March, 1906, there appeared a return showing the estimated yield per acre of wheat, oats, and barley for the colony, viz.: Wheat, 28 bushels; oats, 35 bushels; and barley, 30 bushels.

The actual yields now to hand are as follows:—

WHEAT.

The area for threshing was 222,183 acres, and the total yield is computed at .. 6,798,934 bushels.
