MYERS, Mayor of the City of Auckland, do hereby certify that the Auckland City Council has by special order, made on the 29th day of March, 1906, and confirmed on the 26th day of April, 1906, duly authorised the raising of a sum not exceeding twenty-six thousand pounds (£26,000) by way of special loan, for the purpose of establishing an abattoir under the provisions of section 5 of “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900.”

Hodgson’s store, Wakefield.
