Amending a Proclamation taking Lands for a Road in
Sections 1 and 2, Block IV, Ngatapa Survey District,
and closing Road in Block IV, Ngatapa Survey District,
Ngatapa Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section six of “The Land Act, 1892,” it
is therein provided that any Proclamation, Order
in Council, or other instrument, whether made under any
Act in force prior to the commencement of that Act or made
under or by virtue of that Act, and all regulations, by-laws,
conditions, or rules made by the Governor, the Minister, or
any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked from
time to time:
And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation
issued under the said Act taking lands for a road and
closing a road in Block IV, Ngatapa Survey District, dated
the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hun-
dred and five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of
the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
five, page 2762, and hereafter referred to as “the said
Proclamation.”
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of
the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby amend the said Proclamation as follows, viz.: by
the substitution of the second column in the First Schedule
hereto for the second column in the First Schedule of the
said Proclamation.

above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.

Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Grey-
mouth-Hokitika-Ross Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Greymouth-Hokitika-Ross Railway
(hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a rail-
way the construction of which is authorised by “The Rail-
ways Authorisation Act, 1901”; And whereas the said
railway has been partly constructed, and it has been deter-
ined to construct and maintain a further portion of the
same:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by
“The Public Works Act, 1905,” and in exercise of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line
of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that
defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the Greymouth-Hokitika-
Ross Railway marked 25 miles 20 chains, the said point
being situated in Railway Reserve, in Block IV., Ma-
hinapua Survey District, and being also the terminating-
point of the railway described in a Proclamation dated
the 28th day of October, 1902, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 86, of the 30th day of October,
1902; proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly
direction for a distance of about 13 miles 10 chains, thence
in a south-easterly direction for a further distance of about
1 mile 34 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over
the following lands—viz., Railway Reserve, in Blocks IV.,
VIII., VII., XI., XV., and XIV., and Section 1458,
Block XIV., all in the Mahinapua Survey District; Reserve
No. 312, Section No. 472, Reserve No. 313, Sections Nos. 484,
485, 493, 494, 495, 496, 1078, and 1077, all in the Borough of
Ross—and terminating at a point on the south-eastern
boundary of said Section No. 1077, distant about 150 links
in a north-easterly direction from the most southerly corner
thereof: including all adjoining and intervening places,
lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and water-
courses: all in the Land District of Westland: as the same
is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 21745, deposited
in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington,
in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Appointing Time for First Election of Members of Motueka
Harbour Board, and Time and Place for First Meeting of
Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section eight of “The Motueka Harbour
Board Act, 1905,” it is enacted that the Governor
shall by Proclamation appoint a day, not exceeding thirty
days after the date of such Proclamation, for the election of
the members of the first Board, and also shall appoint a day
for the first meeting of the Board:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, do
hereby proclaim and appoint Monday, the fifth day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand nine hundred and six, to be the day for
the election of the members of the first Board, and Monday,
the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and six, at noon, to be the day, and the room at the Motueka
Wharf, Motueka, to be the place, for the first meeting of the
Board.
