Notice of Result of Poll, Northern Maori Electoral District.

IN pursuance of a writ under the hand of Hugh Pollen, Esq., Clerk of the Writs, a poll was, on the 20th day of December, 1905, taken at the several gazetted polling-places, under the provisions of “The Electoral Act, 1905,” for the purpose of the election of a member of the House of Representatives for the Northern Maori Electoral District: And whereas Hone Heke, of Wellington, aboriginal native, received the greatest number of votes recorded by such poll: Now I do hereby declare him, the said

HONE HEKE,

duly elected as a member of the said House of Representatives for the said Northern Maori Electoral District.

As witness my hand, this 6th day of January, 1906, at Russell.

I, JOHN BROOKING, Returning Officer for the Eastern Maori Electoral District, do hereby give notice, in terms of subsection (j) of section 177 of “The Electoral Act, 1905,” that the result of the poll taken by me on the 20th December, 1905, for the election of a member to serve in the House of Representatives for the Eastern Maori Electoral District was as follows:—
