WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 1906.
Allocating Land in Block IV, Lauder Survey District, taken
for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Otago Central Railway, and it has been considered desirable
to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for
Public Works that such land is not required for railway
purposes: And whereas such land is situated in Vincent
County, the local authority of which has consented to the
issue of this Proclamation and appears to be the local
authority most capable of conveniently and effectively controlling and maintaining the said road:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public
Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be
maintained by the Vincent County Council in like manner
as other public highways are controlled and maintained by
the said Council.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1905,” for the purposes of a post-office;
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed
and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
“The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a post-office as
aforesaid; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and six.

thereon coloured sepia.

Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this third day of April, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and six.
